Incoming Spanish EU President has planned to make compulsory service of high speed broadband all through the area of European Union member states. EU wants special focus of the internet access for rural areas.

As per EU estimation, only 70% of rural or countryside areas of EU states can get high speed internet access. This is the digital divide which shows the social division in accessing web with speed in 21^st century.
